Can Rock Insurance provide ski travel insurance?
If you want to participate in any Winter Sports during your trip you will need to take out additional insurance as the risks of injury and claims for equipment are higher. Winter Sports covered by this policy are skiing, snow boarding, off-piste skiing and snow boarding (except in area's considered to be unsafe by resort management), recreational ski and snow board racing, mono skiing, cross-country skiing, snow mobiling, toboggaing, glacier walking or trekking up to 6,000 metres, cat skiing and ice skating.
Rock Insurance Winter Sports policies cover:
Ski equipment – should your skis, poles, boots, bindings, helmet, snow board, or ice skates become lost or damaged during your trip Premier policy holders can claim up to £500 for their own equipment or £200 for hired equipment. Premier Pluspolicy holders can claim up to £1,000 for their own equipment and £500 for hired equipment.
Ski pack – if the company arranging your ski pack lets you down you can claim back £75 per day up to £300 under Premierpolicies and up to £450 under a Premier Plus policy with an excess of £50.
Piste Closure – should your wintersports trip be disrupted by piste closures you can claim back £20 per day of closure up to £200 with Premier policies and £400 with Premier Plus policies.
Avalanche cover – should your wintersports trip be disrupted by an avalanche you can claim up to £250.
